ANITA SCOTT, M.Sc.
Anita Scott works with adults and specializes in the treatment of trauma-based disorders, such as Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders. Her style of therapy is client centred and collaborative. She works with people with a range of problems, including but not limited to, childhood abuse, sexual assault, and motor vehicle accidents.
Anita’s treatment approach is integrative. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and is both trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Each are effective treatments for trauma-based problems. Anita also draws upon psychodynamic therapy and recognizes the significance of early attachment in the treatment of complex trauma.
Anita also treats depression, anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem problems, and work-related problems. She works with individuals who are on leave from the workplace to help improve overall functioning and assist in the return-to-work process.
